🍗 Raising Cane’s Expanding to Oceanside

Raising Cane’s is headed to Oceanside, with plans to transform the long-vacant Mimi’s Café building at Pacific Coast Plaza into a high-capacity drive-thru restaurant. The new location at 2177 Vista Way is targeting a mid-2026 opening and will feature a drive-thru designed to handle up to 29 vehicles, a clear sign the brand is betting big on North County traffic.
Oceanside has notably been missing a Cane’s, even as nearby Vista, San Marcos, and Camp Pendleton locations stay busy. The addition fills that gap for locals who currently head inland for their Box Combos and signature Cane’s Sauce. With more than 800 locations nationwide and continued expansion across San Diego County, the chicken finger chain is clearly not slowing down.
🌸 The Flower Fields Return to Carlsbad March 1

Carlsbad’s most colorful tradition is almost back. The Flower Fields will reopen March 1, bringing more than 70 million Giant Tecolote Ranunculus blooms to the hills overlooking the coast. The seasonal attraction runs through Mother’s Day, offering about ten weeks to wander the vibrant rows just minutes from the beach.
Beyond the sweeping rows of color, guests can explore the American Flag of Flowers, artist gardens, the Sweet Pea Maze, Santa’s Playground, and tractor wagon rides. The Butterfly Encounter expands this year with a larger greenhouse filled with hundreds of butterflies, and the calendar will include live music, workshops, wine tastings, and pop-ups from local favorites like Lofty Coffee. It is shaping up to be another vibrant season in Carlsbad.

Until next time,
